Danny Ihrig was born and raised in south Texas. His heritage is of German farmers and ranchers from southeast Nebraska.
Having lived in Sinton, Weslaco and Karnes City, Danny graduated from Karnes City High School in 1962. He went on to earn a BBA degree from Southwest Texas State University in San Marcos, Texas. Later he received his Bachelor of Science in Education degree from Southwest Texas State. After teaching and coaching for 7 years, Danny received a Master of Education degree from Prairie View A&M University.
Danny and his wife LaJuan have four children, Carl, Cartha, Chad and John.
Danny started in real estate in 1977 in The Woodlands, Texas. He was a top listing producer while at Century 21, Hayden Group. Danny continued his work in real estate at RE/MAX Space Center in Clear Lake City, Texas. Danny and his wife LaJuan opened their own real estate business in Karnes County, Texas in 2005.

After nearly 30 years in Houston, LaJuan and her husband Danny decided to return to the area where they grew up. LaJuan was the broker for a major real estate company, the largest RE/MAX in Houston sponsoring as many as 130 agents. She was ranked as number 66 out of the top 500 brokerages in the USA. She has received many awards including the John Lozenski Award from RE/MAX and the Top 100 Award for small businesses from the Houston Business Journal. She currently holds the prestigious CRB, Certified Real Estate Brokerage, designation.
